How much commitment and how far does HEAT travel?
2023/24 each team practiced 4 hours per week and the furthest we went was Spooky Nook, Pennsylvania.
How long is the season?
We will begin practices the week of Dec 2 and finish at the end of April or beginning of May.
Where will practices be held?
Well, we are still working on confirming our location, so if this is a huge factor for your family, reach out to Coach Julie before you tryout!
What if my child plays another sport/instrument/has a job?
Be upfront. We are flexible with allowing athletes attend other practices but NOT the week leading up to a tournament.
What age groups will you have this year?
2023/24 we had two U14 teams, U15, U16, and U17 It really depends on who comes to tryouts! We make teams based on that. Hoping we have a boys team this year!
Who will coach for HEAT in 2024/25?
Coach Melissa, U16 head coach last year, will move up with her team and coach U17.Coach Alyssa, experienced and new to the area, will coach U15 National. Coach Jill will coach U15 Regional and Coach Julie will head up the U16's.
How much does it cost to play for HEAT travel?
2023/24 cost $2400 included 7 tournaments.
How much do uniforms cost?
2023/24 cost $75 for 2 uniforms
What other costs will I encounter?
Tryout, membership to USAV, hotel (if you choose to stay), and tournament entry fees for family members.
